1. Tied Bellows Expansion Joint: The single tied bellows expansion joint features a bellows connected to an end with welded ends or fixed flanges. It incorporates a tie rod system capable of handling pressure thrust, distinct from the single united expansion joint. Primarily designed for absorbing axial displacement and limited lateral displacement, the tie rod acts as a displacement limiter, equipped with a stop device for controlled axial movement. Equipped with two tie rods, it can also manage angular movement within a single plane. 2. Universal Tied Bellows Expansion Joint: The universal tied bellows expansion joint features two bellows connected by an intermediate pipe, along with tie rods, end plates, spherical and conical washers, and other components. The tie rod system can manage lateral displacement in any plane and withstand pressure thrust from the bellows. Multiple sets of tie rods are evenly distributed around the expansion joint's circumference. Equipped with two 180-degree tie rods, it allows deflection in both angle and lateral direction. However, with three or more tie rods, only lateral deflection is possible.
